Local preferences

The app stores display preferences in SharedPreferences under standby_settings_v1. Browser preview uses browser-local storage. Uninstalling the app or clearing site storage removes those settings. The visual timer is temporary and resets when the app closes.

Optional weather

Weather requests are off by default in version 1.1.0. Enabling weather sends the coordinates of your selected public city to Open-Meteo. The provider also receives your IP address and ordinary connection information. No GPS location is requested. Four cities are available: London, New York, Tokyo and Sydney. Conditions refresh on enable, city change or an explicit refresh; timestamps and failures are visible.

Weather data is licensed CC BY 4.0. Open-Meteo's free endpoint is for noncommercial use under its service terms. Paid or ad-supported distribution requires appropriate service rights.

Calendar, media & permissions

Calendar cards show labelled sample events. Media metadata is unavailable. The improved app requests no calendar, location, notification or photo permission. Android needs internet access for optional weather. Foreground screen-on and brightness use the visible Activity window; there is no background wake-lock service.

Historical baseline

Version 1.0.0 automatically requested London weather and contained unused sensitive permission declarations. Its sample cards and platform limitations are retained only in the documented historical source baseline.

This website

The documentation is a static GitHub Pages site without added analytics or cookies. GitHub processes hosting requests under its own policies. The optional Flutter browser preview stores settings locally and contacts Open-Meteo only after you enable weather. Roboto fonts and engine resources are bundled. The tested Latin UI path fetched only the preview origin while weather was off; arbitrary missing-glyph fallback paths have not been accepted.
